New COO at Scottish Computer Company Iomart
Iomart Group, the Scottish cloud computing company based in Glasgow, has just appointed Neil Christie as its new Chief Operating Officer or COO.
Mr Christie has been involved in the cloud computer industry for over 10 years. Initially, training as a chartered accountant with PwC, he moved into cloud computing and has been in charge of the infrastructure as a service side of the business.
In addition Christie is also a member of the technological and IT faculty boards for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and also Wales.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of iomart appointing a new principal marketing officer in the guise of Sharon Mars Leach, to strengthen its brand name placing within the expanding marketplace for cloud solutions.
The statement noted that this was not a board appointment.
Reece Donovan, CEO, claimed the appointment will certainly “enhance our framework and also procedures in order to deliver on our lasting development technique.”
Christie himself added that he would “be supporting the talented teams we have across the business and bringing together all parts of the Group to deliver on our strategy of service excellence and further growth.”
